Projection Facilities

Please note: The following information relates only to sessions and lectures held in the rooms and lecture halls of the Estrel Hotel Berlin. A central Media Check will be available in Conference Room Lyon during the entire congress.
Projection data of all presentation (lectures, oral presentations, etc.) will be collected and administered by means of a central server prior to, as well as throughout the entire conference. Administration, technical preparation and care of all digital presentations will be solely undertaken by M Events Cross Media GmbH. During each meeting, speakers will be able to call up their presentations at the lectern.
In order to maintain the international character of the congress and to enable all delegates to understand and participate in all presentations in an optimal manner, PowerPoint presentations and lectures should be prepared in English.
In order to ensure a smooth running of the event, all speakers are requested to submit their presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint file format (Version XP). Graphic data should be embedded into the presentations.Video and audio data must be linked to the presentations and enclosed separately as data.Video clips have to be produced exclusively in *.avi-format with DIVX up to version 5.1.1. or un-compressed.
All presentations should be submitted to http://dog2007.m-talk.de between 31 August and 17 September 2007.Therefore authors will receive a separate e-mail from M Events Cross Media GmbH with access information and instruction regarding formats and codec’s.
PowerPoint presentations and all integrated graphics, audio and video data will be uploaded directly onto the congress server. Any technical questions may be e-mailed to dog2007@mevents.info.
Speakers will have the opportunity to check and review presentations after their data have been transferred onto the central network server, and will be able to access presentations in a straightforward manner in the lecture hall. This should be carried out as soon as possible, but not later than 2 (two) hours prior to the session where it is due to be presented. IT staff will then upload the data onto the central server for the duration of the congress. Presentations which have already been submitted can be viewed and amended up to three hours prior to the start of the session where it is due to be presented.
The following storage media are acceptable for transfer of data onto the central network server:
– MSWindows-compatible CD-Rom(ISO 9660) and DVD-ROM
– ZIP disk (ZIP 100 or ZIP 250)
– USB-stick (possibly with drive)
Due to the technical policy adopted for this conference, beamers will be the only means of projection in lecture halls. Facilities for the use of private laptops for presentation will not be
provided. Finally, we ask for your understanding that slide and overhead projection facilities will only be provided in exceptional circumstances. Speakers who require either of these two facilities should contact the organisers by 1 September 2007 to outline their requirements.

Please note: All centrally stored data will be deleted irrevocably right after the congress.
